Walnut Island Restaurant and Lodge was established in 1958 as a Large Mouth Bass Fishing and Ducking Hunting Sportsman Paradise. Located on Dowdy's Bay on Lower Currituck Sound, it faces north to the Currituck Beach Lighthouse at Corolla. It has a 63 year history of serving sportsmen and travelers . The menu features Local Seafood, Angus Steak, and American Family dishes . Barry is a US Navy Veteran. Donna's family was US Air Force. Both are pro-military and they support several Annual Charity events including: The Navy SEAL Tribute Ride, The Operation Red Wing Memoral Service,and the Outer Banks Bike Show. All benefit Gold Star families .The Lodge is open all year. Each room has its own theme. The restaurant and Lodge are joined by a bar that includes a dance floor,pool table ,and NC KENO.
